Samsung Announces Galaxy Grand 2; Mid-ranger With A Big Screen

It’s no secret that almost every manufacturer loves Android as their operating, there are those who differ, but we’re not gonna there now. ‘Big’ it seems is the new motto for Android, with a plethora of smartphones sporting large display’s, there are those on the comical line such as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Galaxy Note 3, but there are those who well remain within boundaries. Generally large phones such as those listed above are high-end affairs and usually expensive. A mid-tier part will probably sport a smaller display, well fret not Samsung took care of it by announcing the Galaxy Grand 2, succeeding the somewhat popular Galaxy Grand.

Like it’s predecessor, the Galaxy Grand is mid-tier affairs and sports phablet level display. With that said, the Galaxy Grand 2 is not short of surprises, the purported mid-tier smartphone sports more than decent specs to back it’s popularity. The Galaxy Grand 2 sports 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 gigs of RAM, 8MP back camera and a 1.9MP front shooter. The phone has 8GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded via microSD card slot, it also sports a 2600mAh battery and Android 4.3 with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI and it’s exclusive set of features. The display is 5.25-inch 720p HD (1280×720) affairs with a 16:9 aspect ratio for optimal movie watching experience. Samsung goes to describe it as “perfect for watching movies, playing games and e-reading,”. The phone seems to take a lot from the Galaxy Note 3, with a leather material back cover.

The phone will be available in white, pink and black colors, and will be available in select regions, taking note the dual-SIM feature of this smartphone.
