Newest Dead Space 3 Trailer Shows Miner Problems

Dead Space 3 is easily one of my favorite games of 2013, while the pacing of the game has definitely gone from survival horror of Dead Space 1 to progressing to Action Survival Horror in 2 it seems that 3 will still hold the magic of keeping the player in panic while fighting hordes of necromorphs and zombie miners off his back, but this time Isaac isn’t going to be alone in his fight against the Necromorphs as this time he is joined by John Carver which is a first in the series. This is where the game gets more exciting as you will soon see in the newest Dead Space 3 Trailer.

Isaac is no longer alone in his journey as he teams up with Sgt. John Carver in the latest installment of the Dead Space series, See the latest trailer for their new Dead Space 3 Trailer to get a peek into their exploits.

In the latest trailer of Dead Space 3 we see Isaac Clarke and John Carver fighting against the necromorph threat, Isaac and John traverse through treacherous and frozen mines which are now over run by various necromorphs as both of them work as a team to restore power to a damaged elevator.

While Dead Space 3 may not have the make you jump out of your seats (not yet anyway) its good to see that the series still has the magic touch of over running you with enemies so that you are always watching your back, as you saw how easily John and Isaac are over powered if you let your guard down especially in close quarters, this is where the difference of a checkpoint reset or even a death can make ALL the difference.

I completely agree that the coop element will definitely help make the game more interesting and even easier depending on the trophy / achievement demand but its good to see that Isaac will not be alone in his newest adventures and at least we will be able to control a new character for a change.

According to the latest press release it appears that the game will have voice support for Kinect too. But I wouldn’t really recommend it and would advise you to stick to a controller.

Find partner! Fire stasis! Attack Enemy! Visceral Games, an Electronic Arts studio, today announced that the first big blockbuster launch of 2013, Dead Space 3, will be available exclusively on Kinect for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The all-new Kinect functionality further immerses players into the Dead Space universe by allowing players to use simple voice commands to help a friend from the onslaught of horrors and thrills that awaits them in this spine-tingling new adventure. Dead Space 3 featuring Kinect will make it easier for co-op partners to give each other health or ammo, find objectives, revive one another and more when the game launches February 5, 2013.

“The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op,” said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer on Dead Space 3 and VP, General Manager of Visceral Games. “Dead Space 3 delivers the action-horror experience our fans have come to know and love. And with the ability to survive the adventure alone, with a friend, or with Kinect, we’re excited about extending the spine-tingling Dead Space experience to a whole new audience of players.”
